Native Sons Eyewear

Visual Direction & Catalog System

Led visual direction for Native Sons Eyewear’s e-commerce catalog by developing a structured system of studio compositions that established consistency across the entire product line. Defined key camera angles, lighting, and framing rules that became the foundation for all ongoing imagery, creating a cohesive and recognizable visual identity. Expanded the brand’s visual language through behind-the-scenes and narrative-driven content, and directed the look and feel of select collections, including work with Pat Long, shaping tone, mood, and overall presentation.

Function and Form Suspension

Technical Automotive Videographer

I specialize in capturing automotive work as it happens—installs, builds, and real shop environments. My focus is on documenting the details that matter, from component interaction to torque-critical steps, so the viewer understands not just what was done, but how and why it matters.

Approach to Automotive Documentation

My work is built around clarity, not just visuals. When documenting installs or mechanical systems, I prioritize capturing the steps, sequences, and details that matter to the person doing the work.

I focus on:

  • Showing the correct order of operations
  • Capturing torque-critical steps and component alignment
  • Highlighting clearance and fitment details
  • Working efficiently in active shop environments without interrupting workflow

This approach ensures the final content is not just engaging, but useful and accurate for real-world application.

3D Visualization & Technical Animation

I use 3D modeling and animation to support video production by visualizing what can’t be easily captured on camera. This includes internal components, system interactions, and processes that require a clearer breakdown than live footage alone can provide.

With a background in 3D animation, I use Blender to create models and renders that help explain how parts function and interact within a system. This allows me to bridge the gap between real-world footage and technical understanding, especially when working with complex mechanical subjects.

Rather than using 3D for visual effect, my focus is on clarity—breaking down features, showing movement, and reinforcing key concepts so the viewer can fully understand what’s happening.

Driver Stories & Automotive Culture (Interview Series)

This project is part of an ongoing series focused on capturing the people behind the cars. Rather than focusing only on the vehicle, the goal was to document the perspective of the driver—how they think, what they value, and how they connect to the machine.

Each interview was conducted in a live automotive environment, requiring a balance between conversation, pacing, and capturing supporting visuals that reflect the subject’s relationship with their car.

This type of work challenged me to listen, adapt in real time, and shape a narrative from unscripted moments while maintaining clarity and flow in both the interview and edit.

Production Workflow & Capability

I manage the full production process from planning to final delivery, working within active shop environments and tight timelines.

My focus is on capturing what matters without slowing down the work, adapting in real time to ensure critical steps and details are documented clearly and accurately.

  • Plan shoots based on mechanical workflow and install sequence
  • Film in live shop environments with limited time and access
  • Capture both wide process and detail-critical moments
  • Edit, color, and deliver content optimized for YouTube and digital platforms
  • Maintain clarity and structure under tight production timelines
